Each order is handled by a project manager who involves the customer in decisions, plans each step, reports any critical problems to management, updates deadlines and checks compliance.

The project manager has an entire team of engineers at his disposal, who are entrusted with individual tasks.

Francesco Pelizza

Francesco’s life is closely linked to the sea and it was the love for the sea that drove his choices as an adult. A skilled sailor, Francesco Pelizza took part to many international regattas, both around the cans and blue water sailing, even crossing the Atlantic Ocean. As a sailor, his most remarkable successes were the victory at the Sidney-Hobart in 1997, the participation to the Mini-Transat in 1999 and the gold medal at the ORC 2017 World Championship in Corinthian Class. He also worked for a few years as a professional diver. Sailing and diving are still his favourite hobbies. After graduating in Mechanical Engineering at Università Politecnica delle Marche he worked for more than 6 years in the aeronautical and aerospace industry in Rome and Trieste for Aerostudi then, at the very beginning of 2005, Francesco returned to his hometown, Ancona and founded his own company, AMS – Advanced Mechanical Solutions, providing engineering services. One of Francesco’s first projects was the structural design of the RC44 by Russell Coutts (five times winner of the America’s Cup), a light displacement, high performance one-design racing yacht. His professional background turned his innate curiosity and technical knowledge into a source of new ideas, projects, products. In 2021 Francesco started a sister company to AMS, AMS-COMPOSITES which allows AMS to build in-house most of the carbon fibre products the company designs. Francesco Pelizza is also shareholder of I-Carbon, a company which manufactures and commercializes off-theshelf products in carbon fibre.
