Handling systems

AMS handling systems are entirely custom-designed and manufactured to integrate seamlessly with the geometry, operational requirements and design of each yacht.

AMS develops motion systems for stern doors, garage doors, balconies, folding bulwarks, pantograph and sliding doors, hatches and hull openings, engineering dedicated mechanisms according to the available space and required movement. Solutions may include simple rotation, combined rotational and translational motion, or four-bar linkage mechanisms.

Each system is engineered to combine reliability, smooth and quiet operation with compact dimensions, integrating mechanisms and components within the yacht’s structure wherever possible. Actuation can be hydraulic, electric or manual, while the control logic is developed according to specific operational and safety requirements.

Particular attention is given to aesthetic integration. In the closed position, doors, balconies and folding bulwarks are designed to align seamlessly with the exterior surfaces of the hull and superstructure. When open, the systems can incorporate dedicated safety features, such as stainless-steel stanchions, ensuring functionality while maintaining consistency with the yacht’s design.

Materials, mechanisms, actuation systems and control logic are defined for each project, enabling AMS to develop fully customised solutions even for applications involving complex geometries, restricted installation spaces or specific technical requirements.

  • Custom-engineered mechanisms: simple rotation, combined rotational and translational motion, and four-bar linkages
  • Hydraulic, electric or manual actuation
  • Fail-safe operating logic
  • Smooth and quiet operation
  • Compact, fully integrated motion systems
  • High level of integration with the hull and superstructure
  • Materials resistant to corrosion in marine environments
  • Fully customised solutions for each application

Finish
Polished stainless steel for hinges and visible components. Anodised or painted aluminium. Carbon fibre available with carbon-look or painted finishes to match the yacht’s aesthetic specifications.

Carbon fibre awning systems and support poles

AMS awning systems are designed to provide extensive shaded areas on the yacht’s exterior decks, combining lightweight construction, structural strength and seamless integration with the vessel’s design.

Motion systems and mechanisms

AMS motion systems are entirely custom-designed and manufactured to integrate seamlessly with the geometry, operational requirements and design of each yacht.

Telescopic navigation light masts

AMS telescopic navigation light masts combine functionality, seamless integration and aesthetics. They are designed to complement the exterior styling of luxury yachts over 50 metres in length.
